Waddup DNVR FAM! It’s been a minute. The bat signals for OGs were received, although my response is a little late.

BLUF: You may not have heard from me, but I’ve been here the whole time. All Love & Gratitude for my DNVR Fam!

I think the last time I commented, we were still debating the number of holes in a straw, and whether or not a hotdog was a sandwich. Since then, the entire Drew Lock saga unfolded, Teddy Two Gloves strutted in and stepped out, and Don Fangio’s Mile High Mafia got torched by the Untouchables. We’ve endured some truly bad football, and some heartbreaking tragedies in our communities and throughout the world. During that time, I’ve also ridden the emotional roller coaster of divorcing an unfaithful spouse, all while my mom battles an aggressive cancer.

Throughout all the turmoil of the last few years, there was a beacon of light and positivity that kept me on course, the DNVR community and Colorado sports. So many great things have lifted us up when we needed it most. Nicola Jokić won back to back MVPs, the Avs won the Stanley Cup, and the DNVR Bar was born! I’m also pleased to report that I am now very happily engaged to an AMAZING woman (and rapidly growing Broncos fanatic).

I extend my deepest expression of gratitude and love to RK, Zac, Hank, Brandon, Ali, and ALL the DNVR staff, as well as the entire DNVR community. While silently chillin in the shadows, I haven’t missed a pod since the very early days of BSN – and don’t ever intend to. It’s going to be a GREAT season of Broncos football!

What a great time to be a Broncos fan! We got a squad here boys. It is so exciting to know going into the season that we can make a run. Haven’t had that in awhile.

My Q, why are there such low expectations on Randy Gregory? I understand the injury but I believe he will play in 85 percent of the games and record 12-16 sacks.

For some reason I was pondering what it would be like to hold grudges and I imagined being torqued about all the time i’ve wasted listening to you all chit chat about the auspices of Aaron Rodgers prior to us signing that guy with the large pick up. Then I remembered my first tender days of BSN fandom when you so graciously weened me from my post-orange and blue 760 period of mourning. All that is to say, not only do I absolve you of the Green Bay qb infelicities, but I forgave you the moment you Introduced me to such things as the cereal bowl with a straw and the “is a straw a hole” debate. I hope only to remain in your good graces as well.

On that note, am i the only one who is picking up some hard core Old Gregg vibes from #12? I’m starting to feel like it’s as likely to find Rodgers flailing in an NFC championship game as it would be to find him living in a cave covered in seaweed and drinking Baileys from a shoe while asking adoring fans if they love him?

Anywho…

Russ is an odd cat, but he’s our Garfield now and we don’t have to wax poetic about some other team’s bizarre creature.

First time commenting, and I gotta say, I’ve been having some extremely irritating conversations regarding our WR group lately. People are telling me to limit my expectations because they haven’t really had a huge season as a group yet. My response has always been, “THEY HAVEN’T HAD AN ELITE QB THROWING THEM THE BALL!” Am I correct in thinking this group could really be special now that we have our guy at QB? Is my excitement warranted? Tell me I’m not the only one with big expectations for this position group and this offense.

Also, excited to see how Nik Bonitto looks once they get the pads on and he finally gets to really use his speed and bend off the edge. How much playing time do we anticipate (at this point) for the former Sooner?

Hey guys, I was cracking up seeing your reactions to my last two comments. Didn’t get with DNVR Help fast enough to undo the “Character Development” RK was talking about, lol. I am also excited to announce Denver RivALZ is working on a Fundraising Corn Hole Tournament this October to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association, should be a lot of fun! My question today is, if you could only pick one of the three to make the HOF (Reeves, Mecklenburg and Shanahan) for the Broncos finalists, which one would you choose? I may be biased growing up in the Shanahan era, but I hope he makes the Hall some day soon. I look forward to hear your answer. Go Broncos and support Denver RivALZ!

Hey guys, long time no comment. I’m extremely excited for this upcoming season! I’m not just ready to see Russ cook but to see the whole team come together as a balanced nutritional diet. To keep the team healthy, everyone has to do their part. Russ only cooks 1 meal a day but almost everyone needs breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast is the foundation of your day. I want to see Miners and the oline cooking fat pancakes every morning. They say the game is won in the trenches and it’s the most important meal of they day! Our defense will be serving lunch or rather they’ll be stealing everyone else’s lunch. Who’s got time to make lunch anyways. Herbert and Mahomes will try to cook something up just for Surtain to come steal it away. Of course Russ has the main course, dinner. It’s the meat and potato’s of this team. It’s what sustains us and keeps us winning from week to week. But you can’t forget dessert! Javonte will be delivering just dessert to opposing defenses every week. Just as any good dessert will do, he’ll beat you into a food coma every time. Would you agree on this or is there other position groups you would rather see in the kitchen?
