Malone knows that he must trust Bones on the floor for at least 25 min/game in the Playoffs against Golden State for Denver to win that matchup. Bones’ game has alot of Flash, but he is not Reckless…He knows how to play and how to breakdown an opposing defense as a scorer and a point guard. If Bones and Murray(100%) were the starting backcourt, Denver would win in 6 games. If Denver is focused defensively (hello, it’s The Playoffs), Denver can grind out wins just through MVP Jokic. Yet, Golden State is gonna make SHOTS and Denver has to Fire Back. Bones is the X-factor…I believe He is Ready.

He’s definitely beyond my expectations. And I agree that he could have more of a middie game if he can get a quicker release. It does seem like his slow release forces him into longer shots than he’d otherwise have to take if he just could speed up his release.

But, his passing is way better than I expected before seeing him live. He makes good reads pretty often and makes impressive passes at times, especially to the roller in pick and roll.

He has a chance to be a very good player and I’m astounded that he was good enough to really make himself the backup point guard this season with Jamal out.
