Just over a year after signing one of the biggest contracts in NFL history, Russell Wilson’s future with the Denver Broncos and Sean Payton is in doubt.
Can the Broncos move on from Wilson’s five-year $250 million contract after this season?
What would it do to the team’s salary cap if they released the veteran quarterback?
What about if they traded him? Are there any teams that would trade for Wilson? Would the Atlanta Falcons, Tamp Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans or Washington Commanders be interested in him?
In order to move on from Wilson, Denver would have to free up a lot of space, including cutting a few players out of Justin Simmons, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Garett Bolles, just to name a few. Would that be worth it?
In what scenarios would the Broncos be better off holding on to Russ?
NFL Network and Fox Sports analyst Brian Baldinger joins the show to break down these questions and the state of the Broncos! Will the Broncos beat the Packers?
On the DNVR Broncos Podcast, Super Bowl 50 Champion Todd Davis, Zac Stevens and Henry Chisholm are coming to you LIVE from the DNVR Bar to break down all of the latest news in Broncos Country.

What up, DNVR crew. Haven’t commented in a while because the Broncos have once again crushed my soul before the end of October and left me dull and lifeless. Looking forward to finding some joy as a Bronco fan again when what has sadly become the most exciting part of our year rolls around, the off-season. I’ll preface my question by stating that I truly believe the Broncos will not win another game this season, they are so so bad it’s hard to fathom. However, we live in a world where crazy things happen so my question is this; how many consecutive wins would it take for even an ounce of hope for this season to creep back in? Beating the Bills week 10 to get to 4-5? The Vikings in week 11 to get to .500? Or the Browns in week 12 to get to 6-5? Logically I tell myself not to get excited until at least beating the Browns, but I know my stupid heart will begin convincing myself that they are a team of destiny if they have an impressive win over the Chiefs next week to get to 3-5. What do you guys think? Have a nice weekend.

Hey y’all! Henry is a stud for all the work explaining Russ’s contract situation. To add to the conversation, a couple sources have mentioned that Russ’s 2025 salary is guaranteed for injury, meaning if Russ can’t pass a physical in March we would be stuck paying him that cash, like it or not. If we know he’s not the guy going forward, is this good enough reason to bench him sooner rather than later?

Fellas!
I find myself wanting to argue with everyone about everything nowadays because of how horribly disappointing this team has been.
Just wanted to thank you guys for keeping up the best coverage in the biz! I don’t always agree but it’s good to get different perspectives and you guys do it the best!

If we pretended that the cap isn’t real, and you have the first overall pick in this year’s draft, who would you use on the current roster to rebuild a team from?
Lets assume you have 10 draft picks and can get 5 free agents.

What do you think Greg, Carrie, and Condi are saying to one another at this point in the season?
