I’ll say it. Honest debate. Can Mims be a Tyreek Hill? Zac mentioned he is averaging nearly 28 yards/Rec. 5 yards more than the next closest. And in 3 games, he has already had 2 huge returns. Hill started out as a returner before becoming a full time WR.

And question for Todd Davis. Simmons out at the beginning, from what I’ve heard, Jewell the other leader at communication on the defense. How much of a difference does it make when you lose 2 key guys that are important parts of the defensive communications on the field?

My guys. Are all-time earmuffs still a thing? What the absolute fuck did we watch on Sunday?? I have so many questions just about the absolute joke that seems to be the coaching of this team. Why do you not challenge that Courtland Sutton “incompletion”?? Even the closest ref said he had called it before he was overruled. How do you start a rookie MLB over Alex Singleton?? Why is the best cornerback in the league not shadowing Tyreek Hill the entire game when their second-best receiver is out and their third-best receiver leaves the game?? Why go for a FG when you’re down 25?? Why come into the game with ONLY TWO safeties active?? We have PJ Locke on the PS! Why keep your starters in, especially your franchise QB, to potentially be injured when you’re down 30+?? Either Sean Payton is being so galaxy-brained 5D chess that we mere mortals cannot comprehend or he is just absolutely shitting the bed after talking mad trash this offseason. I am just absolutely flabbergasted, bewildered, and straight-up embarrassed. That is the worst performance by a sports team that I have ever seen.

And now let me get started on Vance Joseph. I get that he is a great guy, a player’s coach who is loved by most, but were we expecting anything different when Sean hired him to be our DC just five years after he was fired as the HC in Denver? How can you attempt to change the culture with the coach that started our losing ways on the staff?? According to Pro Football Reference, which values defense mainly based on points against, the 2016 Broncos had the 4th best defense in the NFL. That dropped to the 23rd-best defense in VJ’s first year. Granted it went back up to the 13th best in 2018, he never came close to cracking the top ten with the talent that was on those rosters. In Vic’s first year, the defense was top 10. Last year the defense, after all the woes it had and moving on from Bradley, was still the 14th-best in the league. Now they’re the worst and have given up 16 touchdowns in three games.. It’s crazy to say in week 3, but something HAS to change! I’m sorry for the long rant, but I am just pissed. The Denver Broncos are one of the best franchises in NFL history with a long storied history of winning. It wasn’t until 2018 that we even had back-to-back losing seasons. We just deserve better! At least I have the Braves and the future 2023-peat Georgia Bulldawgs to keep me somewhat sane…

Mims the single bright spot in a rapidly deteriorating season. My expectations were not super high – just 9-8 and a winning season at last.
Now, even my natural optimism has wilted in the heat of the Miami visitors sideline. What a mess.

Where is the hype for the Chicago DNVR trip? I’m coming from the Pentagon and meeting my father from Seattle and have been looking forward to meeting the extended DNVR family. With how this season has started we can all use a few drinks and good vibes to jump start the team to better times ahead. All you can do is win the next game and that all starts this weekend!

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve commented.
I’m absolutely disgusted that Vance Joseph still has his job. This guy has been the problem that created this whole mess starting back with hiring him over Shanahan. He’s taken a top 10 defense from last year to dead last in every major category, how does that not warrant losing your job! At this point I feel like you have to make a change for the sake of the development of your players on defense. Because he is even making PS2 look bad.

Speaking of tough questions for coaches on Monday’s pod, please ask Sean Payton something along the following: We’ve been able to see your impact in improving the offense, but the defense has taken a massive step back, so at this point what level of trust/confidence do you have in Vance Joseph to make the necessary changes to improve the defense, and what would you say to fans that have lost all confidence in him?

Because I’m a “complete” nerd, I watch Star Wars shows regularly – one tidbit from last night I liked was

That feels like a Broncos problem going back to 2016! How do we break the cycle, and does it mean gutting the roster and starting fresh?
Can that even be done incrementally?
