Thank you for sharing all your insights from your playing days and beyond. Could you talk about the 2015 run? How did you all feel when PFM got benched? Was there still belief in The title run? Did you all ever waiver? What was it like in the LB room, etc? Did you all know you would beat the Panthers?

Hoping this next game will go better. I felt McMillan deserves more love for his efforts on defense in that Cardinals preseason game. He was literally EVERYWHERE! Question for Todd, who was your favorite QB to slam down during your time in the league? I wish the refs didn’t call offsides on you week 17 in 2017 so this dang chiefs streak wouldn’t be as long. Another example of the NFL making the Chiefs the new coddled babies of the NFL. Y’all are killing it!

Hey all question for Todd.
Everyone has made a big deal out of Sean Payton breaking the “coaches code” with his comments about Hackett. I am curious, if you thought that last year Russ’s former teammates broke a “players code” when they pounced on the opportunity to drag him through the mud? Similarly, do you believe there is such a code and can you shed any light on that, especially as former players get into media roles? I always find it exciting for us common folk to get a peak behind the curtain to learn about the inner workings of the team and players.

Probably a question for Todd, but I have always thought it was weird how little practice and training there is before the start of the season. The Season runs September to February 1st roughly, during the season y’all are putting in 6 days a week of work. Give ya’ll the whole month of February off to account for the extra working days during the season, then give you another 4 weeks of PTO. Under this scenario, you would have worked the same amount as any other job. Why aren’t teams working 5 days a week from March until the season starts? Take PTO when you need, but I always thought it was strange that every play in the playbook has not been run 100 times before the start of a season. We are just 3ish weeks away from the season and we are still installing things. A couple days of OTAs, Mini Camp, and Training camp just don’t seem like enough, especially through the lens of a full time job. Would love your thoughts, and welcome to the Pod!

If Russ averages the 200 yds and 2 touchdowns per game as you guys had discussed the other day, do you think Sean Payton will be satisfied with that going into next season? Sean is one of the greatest offensive minds of our time and now that we have a pretty clear idea of what Russ needs to be successful and all the things he struggles to do, even in Year 10+, I really wonder if he’ll end up setting his sights on a QB who he finds less limiting as a play designer/caller.
