According to Shams Charania of Real GM former Nuggets guard Ian Clark has agreed to a deal with the Golden State Warriors.

After starting the season in Utah, the 6-3 Clark was claimed by the Nuggets off waivers from the Jazz in late March and played in seven games for Denver towards the end of the season. He averaged just 4.4 minutes and 1.9 points per game in those contests.

Clark had an impressive Summer League stint with the Nuggets this past month in Las Vegas and averaged 13.4 points while logging a respectable 25.6 minutes per game. His crowning moment came when he hit a game-winning three in Denver’s 86-83 win over the Miami Heat.

However, that highlight wasn’t enough to land a guaranteed contract from the Nuggets who already have 14 of those on the books for next season and may be close to signing forward Darrell Arthur to 15th in the coming days.

Denver also signed backup point guard Jameer Nelson to a new deal this summer and received combo guard Nick Johnson and his guaranteed contract back from Houston in the Ty Lawson trade. You can read up on Nick Johnson and his potential role in Denver here.

Those two moves coupled by the guaranteed money that already exists on the Nuggets’ roster most likely sealed Clark’s fate.

In Clark, the Warriors add another shooter to the end of their bench to replace Justin Holliday who inked a multi-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks this offseason. Clark also played for the Warriors’ Summer League team in 2013 and made seven threes on his way to a 33-point performance in the championship game that year.
