Jack Del Rio is a confident man, a trait befitting of NFL head coaches, but is he blind?
Del Rio recently said in a video posted on the Oakland Raiders website, “Goal No. 1 is to win our division, and I don’t see why not.”
Well, for starters, the Raiders haven’t won the AFC West since 2002. They’ve hired and fired eight coaches since then, with Del Rio being the ninth man put in charge of the “Rai-duhs.” Second, Del Rio should see how talented the Denver Broncos – winners of four straight division titles – are, considering he was the team’s defensive coordinator from 2012-14. At least, he should easily see the disparity in talent going from Denver to Oakland, and how the black and silver are lacking compared to the other three teams in the West.
But, maybe Del Rio is right. Maybe the Raiders will compete for the division crown for the first time in a baker’s dozen years.
Or maybe we’ll all once again see the Raiders, “Are who we thought they were,” and Del Rio likely won’t be let off the hook. If Oakland flounders again, Del Rio will probably be given the hook.

Easy there Kurtzman…The Rai-duhs have 3 superbowls…RESPECT!! Bronco’s (Choke’os) 2nd all time AFC West ( BIGGEST SUPERBOWL LOSERS OF ALL TIME) ***7***…We also gave you Donkeys enough years to catch up to us and WHAT???? Still 2nd place behind your daddy… get ready for Tide Turn Donkey’s…and same goes out to the rest of the AFC West trying to be contenders to our history and accomplishments… Keep trying!!! You will NEVER catch us. And don’t be trying to call any BS Donkey Nation crap….The entire league got that from us. That’s right…besides being the team with the most influence in making what NFL is today, and What the NFL Draft/Scouting Combine is today and there are only two teams in the NFL that brought it to the league. One last note so you all know…WE CAN AFFORD TO LOSE LIKE WE HAVE IN THE LAST DECADE…. we have more than enough history and accomplishments to sustain those losses…I know you can’t say the same!! We have won enough and made the NFL what it is today…oh yeah I almost forgot…THE NFLPA led by UPSHAW helped players get paid so when they risk their lives, they get rewarded like they should. Last but not least…we created EQUAL Opportunity in the NFL. The ONLY other team that gets respect in the AFC West are the Chiefs…You’re newbies…you Broncos won in 2 decades and then what?? And to top it off…we had to do it against other teams and the NFL!! And yeah yeah we were dirty…so were the Steelers… It just suited us better 🙂
And I’ll stop you now before you get ahead with the thug BS…again learn some history of how the entire fashion statement was started by a Rap group “NWA” at the time when Hip Hop came to life…don’t go there don’t even try it…unless you truly don’t comprehend what i’m telling you. There is a very good chance that you did not reside in Los Angeles during this time, so don’t look like KURTZMAN. That is all on Gangster Rap…We can’t we help that we have a badass logo and the best colors… How many other teams started using Silver and black after us?? LA KINGS RING A BELL!!! they also changed the colors at that time because the colors became hip…again… after NWA made the colors fashionable during that time.

As for you Kurtzman…pick up a book and learn some history…you might not look like Jackass/Donkey/Bronco writer, whatever mascot you wanna go by, they are all the same.
Your team should make history before you start running your mouth.
