Yesterday, I had the crazy thought of “live” tweeting a game that happened 15 years ago. Horrible idea right? Well apparently if you chose the best game in those 15 years, people get pretty hyped on it.
So in case you missed it, here is my live tweeting of Colorado’s 62-36 victory over Nebraska on November 23, 2001. Now complete with highlights.
Terry Bowden on the pre game show: "Nebraska and Colorado, both like to run the ball, Nebraska does it a lot better." #CUvNEB

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
https://vine.co/v/e6pj6eerMp0
Purify hit the hole and there wasn't a white jersey to be seen. Buffs strike first.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
"I think Purify was so open he thought the whistle blew, he turns around and says 'what's going on here?'" -Gary Danielson on the broadcast
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
https://vine.co/v/e6pEjmrDLv7
This is a huge possession for the defense. Can't let NU get the momentum back here.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Crouch with the under-throw on what would have been an easy first down. He's been a little off so far.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Buffs with another HUGE stop on 3rd down. This time it's Joey Johnson absolutely stuffing Crouch and the option.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
https://vine.co/v/e6pLDAmju0m
There it is. Pesavento bobbled the snap but was still able to sneak it in. Raise your hand if you had the Buffs up 21-0 ten minutes in?
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
On cue, CB goes right up the middle again. House call. 28-3 Buffaloes. This is insane.

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Heisman hopeful Eric Crouch has 7 carries for 0 yards at the end of the first quarter.

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Pesavento and Graham are locked in today. There's 23 yards and another big first down for #89.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
And theres 17 more yards for Purify. They're making it look easy out there folks. Easier than it looked against CSU and San Jose State.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Musburger: "Return to dominance indeed… Colorado has buried Nebraska here in the first half. 314 yards of offense."
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Musburger: "That is the quietest sea of red that I have ever, ever been around." pic.twitter.com/YkFDNRsxKi
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Nebraska moving it now, but not how you'd expect. A shotgun pass, and a double reverse pass to get it into Buffs territory.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Nebraska finally finds the end zone. Fullback went right up the middle, defense went for Crouch.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015

— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
And just like that Pesavento throws a dime to Hollowell on the far sideline for a first down.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Nebraska slowing down the run game now, but they still have no answer for Daniel Graham. He's over 100 yards already.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
Spoke too soon on the Huskers stopping the run. Chris Brown goes for 36 yards and another touchdown, his third of the half.
— RK (@RyanKoenigsberg) July 20, 2015
