According to Shams Charania of RealGM, the Denver Nuggets are “finalizing” a three-year fully guaranteed contract with center Nikola Jokic.

Jokic was Denver’s 2014 second-round pick and averaged 16.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and nearly a block per game last season for KK Mega Leks of the Adriatic League.

Bringing Jokic over from Europe was one of the Nuggets highest priorities this offseason and locking him up for a three-year, fully guaranteed deal shows the front office views him as a potential building block going forward.

The Denver Posts’ Chris Dempsey reported early Tuesday that Jokic will arrive in Denver “sometime this week,” which means he will be on the Nuggets roster for Summer League play which begins Friday, July 10 at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
