With the 57th pick in the 2015 NBA draft the Denver Nuggets have selected Nikola Radicevic.

Radicevic is a 6-5 play-making point guard from Serbia whose known for his vision and ability to run an effective offense. He appeared in 33 games last season with Sevilla (Spain) in the ACB league and averaged 7.6 points, 3.7 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 22.7 minutes.

It’s no secret the Nuggets had a clear need at the point guard position with Jameer Nelson an unrestricted free agent, leaving just Ty Lawson and Erick Green as the only true point guards on the roster.

Denver worked out a bevy of point guards including first round picks Cameron Payne, Jerian Grant and Tyus Jones, but settled on Radicevic in the second round to fill that need.

Radicevic is still a work in progress as a scorer, but his defensive upside and length is something to get excited about. He has a wealth of professional experience playing for the Serbian U-16, U-17 and U-18 Nation Teams and won the bronze medal at the 2012 U-18 Championship.

He is most likely a “draft and stash” candidate for next season.
