The seventh overall pick of the NBA draft Emmanuel Mudiay, who says his favorite number is seven, took a few moments to chat with us via conference call on draft night.
Mudiay on conference call: “I know they are a young team..Ty Lawson Kenneth Faried, they love to get up and down the court. That’s my style”

Ty Lawson didn’t seem to be too enthused when his Nuggets took the 6’6″ point guard, but Mudiay had nothing but good things to say.
Mudiay is only 19 and took a different route to the NBA. Instead of playing a year in college, he spent time overseas playing for the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China. He thinks it helped his development.
Mudiay on playing in China: “I was playing against grown man strength.” Says learning to play with 24 second shot clock will help.” #Nuggets

As for his goals for the Nuggets, he has championship aspirations.
