Roberts’ Day
Mike MacIntyre picked up a solid Father’s Day present on Sunday, when Denver’s own Terriek Roberts made the call to pledge his verbal commitment to the Buffaloes.

The 6-foot-6, 250 pound Roberts is a two-way standout for Denver South High School at offensive tackle and defensive end. Right now he figures to start out on D at colorado, but if he can put on the proper way, could make his way back on to the o-line.
While he is currently ranked just a two-star prospect on Rivals, Roberts holds offers from Arizona State, Colorado State, Kansas, Nevada, Northern Colorado, San Diego State, Utah State and Wyoming, certainly the best offer list of any of the Buffs three commits.
The Buffaloes coaching staff has put a focus on keeping top-line in-state talent at home and, as Rivals.com’s Adam Munsterteiger revealed in an interview, Roberts possesses the exact mindset they are looking for.
Terriek Roberts on commitment to #CUBuffs: "I take pride in where I am from and I am tired of everybody talking down on Colorado football…

Roberts (Part II): "… I felt like what better way to show people that Colorado football is actually more than what it is made out to be…
— Adam Munsterteiger (@adamcm777) June 22, 2015
Roberts (Pt III): "…It would be special if I made my mark anywhere but I just felt like it would be more special if I did it in Colorado."

Munsterteiger has been high on Roberts since seeing him camp with the Buffs last week.
Certainly seems like a good pickup for the Buffaloes.
Shay Fizzle
From the, “hey, that’s pretty cool,” category, Snoop Dogg, (or Snoop Lion if you prefer) (just kidding, nobody prefers that) wished Buffaloes receiver, Shay Fields a happy birthday on Instagram today.
Snoop, who coached the Buffs standout as a kid in the Snoop Youth Football league, said “Syfl. Legend. Happy b day keep up the good work”

Maybe Rick George needs to get on the horn and secure a new donor?
Spruce’s hype growing tall
Early Monday morning, SB Nation’s Pac-12 site, PacificTakes.com debuted their top receivers of the Pac-12 list.
Number one on the list? None other than Nelson Spruce.
Here’s what they had to say:
“Spruce is the conference’s leading returning receiver with more than 100 receptions, 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns scored. He needs to up his production against better opponents, but regardless, he is still the Pac-12’s top returning receiver.”
It’s probably a toss up between he and Cayleb Jones, who ranked second on the list, but Spruce and Buffs fans will take #1 any day.
With Nelson likely to have a strong supporting cast around him this year, his greatest value could be the extra attention he’ll demand, allowing the rest of his corps to run wild.
Early lines
Offshore betting site 5Dimes.eu, rolled out their betting lines for some early games in the 2015 season, and surprisingly it sounds like the line makers are high on the Buffaloes.
The Buffs come in as 11 point favorites on the Island at Hawaii, nine point favorites in Denver against CSU, and just 16.5 point underdogs at home against last year’s national runner up Oregon.
Now we have a long way to go before football is played, but if any of these games were to take to the gridiron today, I would not take any of those bets. This is not to say the Buffs can’t cover, or win any of these games, but it would seems irrational to bet on Colorado to win big on the road in the first game of the season, or in the always-a-toss-up rocky mountain showdown, or to keep it close against Oregon who the Buffs haven’t even come within 30 of since joining the Pac-12.
Will be interesting to see how those lines change as we get closer to the season.
Tweet of the day
@Reik_Havoc54 💯💯💪🏾congrats big bro ,smart move 👀

Tweet of the day goes to Buffaloes offensive line target Tremayne Anchrum Jr., who may have teased Buffs fans a little but when he responded to Terriek Roberts commitment tweet.
Anchrum, an offensive guard, has an impressive offer list that includes, ASU, Georgia, Clemson and USC. Needless to say, it would be a huge win for the Buffaloes if they were to land his signature.
