It may not be the first game of the season this year, but that doesn’t mean the summer isn’t always a good time for some good ol’ CU-CSU trash-talk.
Early this morning our CSU writer, Rich Kurtzman, posted a story on Colorado State wide receiver, Rashard Higgins, being named the 13th best offensive player in the nation by NFL.com.
When a CU fan alerted the Buffs’ Kenneth Crawley to the article, he responded with a series of entertaining tweets.

The afore mentioned “wiggle,” after the Colorado corner took down Higgins for a loss of yards in 2013.

While CSU fans can easily go to the scoreboard check, and anything involving last year’s game, Crawley and the Buffs did contain Higgins, holding him to a season worst one catch for 16 yards. Higgins did have a TD on that catch, but it did not come on Crawley’s watch.
In all reality, the Rams didn’t really need to throw the ball that day, as Dee Hart and Treyous Jarrells ran wild for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite all of that, it’s always fun when somebody stirs the pot in this rivalry. Somebody like Spencer Dinwiddie, who of course threw his name into the conversation today.

Translation: Go ahead and use those fighting words, good sir, I am in support of that.
