2015 NFL Draft: Live Tracker

 

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jameis Winston – QB – Florida State

The Bucs have been on the clock with this pick since week 9. They took a bit longer into their clock time to announce the pick but Jameis was always the pick.

2. Tennessee Titans – Marcus Mariota – QB – Oregon

If they keep him the Titans will get their franchise quarterback to replace locker. With such a weak qb draft, id expect teams to still make a push for the Heisman winning Mariota.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars – Dante Fowler Jr. – DE – Florida

Jags get the top pass rusher in the draft, but they’ll probably be picking in the top five again next season.

4. Oakland Raiders – Amari Cooper – WR – Alabama

Derek Carr gets a new weapon to throw to.

5. Washington Redskins – Brandon Scherff – T – Iowa

Scherff at 6’4″ 319 will likely play right tackle for the Washington football club.

6. New York Jets – Leonard Williams – DT – USC

Jets go with a big physical defensive tackle that should be able to plug the run up the middle and also get to the quarterback. Williams had 36.5 tackles for loss in his college career at USC.

7. Chicago Bears – Kevin White – WR – West Virginia

Bears get a receiver to replace Brandon Marshall. At 6’3″ 212lbs not quite as big as Marshall but should give them a legitimate down the field threat.

8. Atlanta Falcons – Vic Beasley – OLB – Clemson

The Falcons go with the edge pass rusher out of Clemson. 33 sacks and 29 quarterback pressures in his four seasons with the Tigers.

9. New York Giants – Ereck Flowers – T – Miami

Giants get a BIG tackle out of Flowers at 6’6″ 324lbs. Flowers started 29 games at Miami earning a second-team All-ACC selection in 2014.

10. St Louis Rams – Todd Gurley – RB – Georgia

Many will call this a reach considering Gurley’s injury situation, but Jeff Fisher seems to have an eye for running back talent early in drafts. Fisher drafted both Eddie George and Chris Johnson in the first rounds of their drafts and selected LenDale White in the second round.

11. Minnesotta Vikings – Trae Waynes – Michigan St.

Waynes isn’t a big corner but could turn into a great cover corner in this league. Mike Zimmer as a former secondary coach should be happy with this pick.

12. Cleveland Browns – Danny Shelton – DT – Washington

Browns get a premiere nose tackle to anchor their 3-4 defense. Cleveland had the worst run defense in the NFL in 2014, Shelton should help improve that.

13. New Orleans Saints – Andrus Peat – T – Stanford

Drew Brees was the 16th most sacked quarterback in 2014 and still threw for almost 5,000 yards. The Saints might have just given Brees more time to throw the ball with Peat protecting his blindside.

14. Miami Dolphins – DeVante Parker – WR – Louisville

Parker is the third wide receiver taken in the draft so far. Parker missed the first seven games of the season last year but ended with 43 receptions, 855 yards and five touchdowns in just six games played.

15. San Diego Chargers (from 49ers) – Melvin Gordon – RB – Wisconsin

Chargers trade a fourth round pick this year and a fifth next year to move up two spots to select Gordon. The second offensive weapon selected by an AFC West team, Gordon could be the top running back prospect in the draft.

16. Houston Texans – Kevin Johnson – CB – Wake Forrest

Second team all ACC in 2014, Johnson ran a 4.52 40 at the combine and can play both off ball and press coverage.

17. San Francisco 49ers (from Chargers)  – Arik Armstead – DT – Oregon

Raw defensive end from the Ducks had 10 career tackles for loss. Could be more a a project player, but when he plays low he is dominant.

18. Kansas City Chiefs – Marcus Peters – CB – Washington

Second Huskies player off the board going to the Chiefs. Kansas City changes the offensive trend the the AFC West was going with, selecting the cornerback known for some off field issues.

19. Cleveland Browns (from Bills) – Cam Erving – OL – Florida State

Browns are trying to get better up front, first selecting defensive tackle Danny Shelton, now going with the versatile offensive lineman. Erving can play any of the five offensive lineman positions for the Browns.

20. Philadelphia Eagles – Nelson Agholor – WR – USC

Eagles pick a WR to fill the void Jeremy Maclin leaves in heading to the Chiefs. Agholor has a similar skill-set to Packers WR Randall Cobb and can be a threat as a receiver, out of the backfield, and in the return game. Now the biggest question remains; who will be the one throwing him the ball?

21. Cincinnati Bengals – Cedric Ogbuehi – T – Texas A&M

Ogbuehi played left tackle, right tackle, and left guard in his career as an Aggie. Will probably start his career as a right tackle but eventually move to left tackle.

22. Pittsburgh Steelers – Bud Dupree – DE – Kentucky

Dupree will join the new look Steelers defense under new defensive coordinator Keith Butler. Dupree started the final 38 games of his career and had 36 tackles for loss in his 45-game career.

23. Denver Broncos (via Lions) – Shane Ray – DL – Missouri

Denver trades up to get Shane Ray. Broncos give up two fifth round picks (one this year and another next year) as well as C/G Manny Ramirez to get the pass rusher. Many thought Ray would fall out of the first round due to a recent marijuana citation he received.

24. Arizona Cardinals – DJ Humphries – OT – Florida

The Cardinals have had a historically bad offensive line. This pick along with the signing of Mike Iupati this offseason should help a bit.

25. Carolina Panthers – Shaq Thompson – OLB – Washington

Thompson was graded by many to go in the second or third round. Played as both a linebacker and running back in his time with Washington.

26. Baltimore Ravens – Breshad Perriman – WR – UCF

With a good 4.24 40 yard dash at the combine, Perriman could give the Ravens the speed to continue playing “Flacco 500 dead or alive!” even with the departure of Torrey Smith.

27. Dallas Cowboys – Byron Jones – CB – Connecticut

Cowboys fill a need at corner and Jones is expected to be a high character guy able to adapt well. Jones shifted from safety to corner in the middle of his collegiate career so he could be a versatile player.

28. Detroit Lions (from Broncos) – Laken Tomlinson – OG – Duke

Lions add their second guard of the night along with plucking Manny Ramirez from the Broncos.

29. Indianapolis Colts – Phillip Dorsett – WR – Miami

Another wide receiver for Luck to play with. Dorsett could be very similar to what TY Hilton already does for the Colts. Combine those two with Andre Johnson and you might be looking at one of the toughest receiving corps in the league.

30. Green Bay Packers – Damarious Randall – S – Arizona State

Seventh player selected from the PAC-12, Randall has been scouted by many as the best cover safety in the draft.

31. New Orleans Saints (from Seahawks) – Stephone Anthony – ILB – Clemson

Anthony is a big physical linebacker prospect that should fit a 3-4 defense nicely.

32. New England Patriots – Malcome Brown  – DT – Texas

Not quite as big as Wilfork but Brown has the size and flexibility to be an every down defender for New England.
