Nolan Arenado made a video game like circus catch in the 8th inning of last night’s Rockies victory over the Giants.

Mere moments later, Charlie Blackmon made a leaping catch to retire Buster Posey to end the inning and give Rafael Betancourt the hold before Ottavino slammed the door shut in the 9th.

People are calling Arenado’s play “Jeter esque” but I don’t see Jeter bouncing right back up from the stands to fire a throw into third. Jeter’s game situation didn’t call for it, but still great awareness by Arenado to know he might have a shot at a double play.
