Colorado State football was represented well when the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter got together Monday night.

All told, ten CSU players were named Academic All-Colorado by the group at their first ever banquet, while former Rams head coach Jim McElwain was named the Colorado Coach of the Year (2014) and Garrett Grayson took home Colorado Offensive Player of the Year as well.

There were six first-teamers, four honorable mentions and one high schooler who is joining the team in 2015.

Here’s the full list:

First team: Treyous Jarrells (Jr., 3.41 GPA), Elroy Masters (RS Fr., 3.83), Kevin Nutt (Fr., 3.46), Nolan Peralta (So., 3.56), Jared Roberts (Sr., 3.31) and Eric Williams (So., 3.37).

Honorable mention: Hayden Hunt (So., 3.03), Mason Myers (Sr., 3.22), Trent Sieg (RS Fr., 3.19) and Steven Walker (Jr., 3.25).

Max McDonald, a 2015 CSU signee from Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, was honored as a top-12 scholar-athletes in Colorado high school sports.

Colorado State finds it important to put true student-athletes on the field, it showed on Monday.
