Despite coaching changes and big questions surrounding the future of Peyton Manning and other key Denver players, the Broncos are still favored highly to be playing in next year’s big game.
If you want to start placing your bets for Super Bowl L here’s how the odds look.
Seattle Seahawks 13/2
A bit of a surprise here that they’re the top ranked team considering they just lost the Super Bowl and may be without Marshawn Lynch next season.
New England Patriots 8/1
Again, the defending champs are somehow second in chances of repeating.
Green Bay Packers 10/1
They were a muffed onside kick away from playing in yesterday’s contest and have the NFL’s reining MVP in Aaron Rodgers.
Denver Broncos 10/1
This of course is assuming Peyton Manning is back at the helm. If Manning opts for retirement expect these odd’s to change significantly.
Dallas Cowboys 20/1
Things finally clicked for the Cowboys to have some success in the playoffs but Romo has only lead Dallas to consecutive playoff appearances once in his career.
Philadelphia Eagles 20/1
Pretty high up there for a team that didn’t make the playoffs in 2014. Perhaps if Nick Foles can bounce back to his 2013 form the Eagles could be a darkhorse.
Indianapolis Colts 20/1
Much like the Manning led Colts, as long as Andrew Luck is playing you know they’ll be around at the end of the year.
San Francisco 49ers 25/1
This may surprise people a bit. They are losing one of the leagues best coaches Jim Harbaugh to Michigan, Frank Gore is a free agent, and there are many questions surrounding Colin Kaepernick if he can really turn into the elite quarterback they are paying him to be. That said, the Niners had the injury bug worse than any team in 2014. If they can come back healthy they could very well be in the mix to play the Super Bowl in their own stadium.
Detroit Lions 30/1
Detroit has proven they can be a player in the NFC but the only Lion to ever appear in a Super Bowl is the one Katy Perry rode in on yesterday.
New Orleans Saints 30/1
Another head scratcher considering the season they had in the abysmal NFC South. Chalk this one up to the Drew Brees effect.
