Demaryius: Broncos "Didn't have the fight"

Demaryius Thomas joined Mike Florio Friday to discuss the disappointing end to the Broncos season. Thomas was very open about how he felt where the mindset of some Broncos players were before their divisional round loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

“I think we had more talent this year, but it was a little more fight in that team last year, I think.” Thomas said. “I think one thing was, I feel like guys kind of looked over the Colts. You had guys always talking the night before the game, you had, ‘Oh, I don’t want to go to New England and play New England.’ And I think that was one of the big things.”

Interesting that a team that lost a Super Bowl by 36 points could possibly have “more fight” than the 2014 rendition of the Broncos.

Thomas was second in the NFL in receiving in 2014, and will be a free agent this offseason.  He said he hopes he’ll be back in Denver next year and added his decision to re-sign won’t be based on who is throwing him the ball.
