Avalanche select goaltender Petr Kvaca 114th overall

CHICAGO – The Colorado used their second pick in the fourth round, 114th overall, on goaltender Petr Kvaca from the Czech Republic.

Kvaca is listed at 6’1″, 174 pounds and is already 19-years-old. He played most recently in the Czech 2 league. This marks the second consecutive year the Avalanche have used a mid-round selection on an overage European goaltender following their fifth round pick of Adam Werner last year.
